Happy Mothers Day, Mana fam! To celebrate all of the awesome Mana Moms out there, we gathered some of our favorite mother characters in a no-particular-order list!
Kushina (Naruto)
A deeply loving and headstrong person, Kushina Uzumaki is the fan-favorite mother of the series’ protagonist, Naruto. She is also an incredibly talented Shinobi in her own right, boasting incredible amounts of chakra and stamina. Having done so much to secure a good life for her son, we couldn’t help but feel that she’s earned her place on this list.

Lady Dimitrescu (Resident Evil Village)
Arguably the most popular new character in recent Resident Evil history, Lady Dimitrescu is a loving mother to her three daughters. Together, they inhabit the terrifying Castle Dimitrescu that the player has to escape from early into the game. Despite being a constant obstacle (and a horrifying source of jump-scares!) it’s easy to see just how much Lady Dimitrescu truly loves her daughters, which makes her an incredibly compelling and intriguing character to face. Clementine (The Walking Dead)
One of the most endearing relationships in the entirety of Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead is the one between protagonist Clementine, and AJ, the child of two of Clementine’s friends. Clementine works hard to protect AJ, and their relationship is a beautiful parallel to the relationship between Lee and Clementine in season 1 of the series. Clementine is far from the perfect mother figure to AJ, but given the situation and the world around her, we feel she’s absolutely earned her spot on this list!

Nyx (Hades)
One of the best characters from one of the best games in recent memory, Nyx was an easy shoo-in for this list! Acting as protagonist Zagreus’ mother figure in the underworld, few characters in gaming have ever been as lovably supportive and helpful as Nyx. Constantly assisting Zagreus in his attempts to escape Hades, Nyx plays a crucial role in the plot and is truly an irreplaceable character in the game.
Sophitia (Soulcalibur)
One of the widely beloved mainstays of the Soulcalibur franchise, Sophitia is an incredibly kind and faithful woman who strives to protect her family. Using her iconic sword and shield forged by her swordsmith husband, Sophitia has been one of our favorite characters to use in every rendition of Soulcalibur.

Pokémon Mom
Over the years, Pokémon has continued to evolve and adapt, providing great experiences for fans of all ages. Yet, over every game, there has been one true constant. Can you guess what it is? That’s right, a lovable, supportive mom who raises the very best trainer in the region! After all, what would a Pokémon game be without your mom giving you Running Shoes or a Town Map in the prologue?
